Timing is everything with travel. I missed out on Cherry Blossom Day in Stockholm by only a few days last year. I returned home to San Francisco on April 16th, capping a chilly yet amazing week, a week that included Stockholm's last snowfall of the season. As soon as I left, it quickly warmed up and spring truly made an appearance.
The blooming of cherry blossoms is celebrated every April at Stockholm's Kungsträdgården. There's even a Cherry Blossom Day, Körsbärsblommans dag, to savor the flowering spectacle. It's a tight window to see cherry blossoms in bloom in Sweden. In Stockholm, they only bloom for about 10 days, with a window to catch it from about mid April to early May.

Hej Peter :)...I just missed an opportunity to personally take a "right time for körsbärsblommor" photo such as the gorgeous one you took by about a week's time. :(
