Swedish Birthdays

Break out the marzipan! I'm going to a Swedish birthday party this weekend. I'm not sure how traditional it will be, as it will take place in San Francisco. One of my Swedish in-laws is turning 5!

Getting ready for her birthday party, I've done some research on Swedish birthday traditions. If you'd like to enjoy one of the most celebrated Swedish birthday cakes, you'll want to bake Prinsesstårta (Princess Cake) also served at Swedish weddings and other special occasions.

Some Swedish children are also treated to breakfast in bed on their birthday. Nice...
