The Vote is Back On

Another brief update on the story Big Brother Could Be Watching You After Wednesday: The sigh of relief was short lived. The vote, originally scheduled for this morning, is back on. Swedish Parliament is set to vote on a "revised" version of Sweden's much debated wiretapping bill, which the English language news site The Local calls "The Snoop Law," this evening (Sweden time). This blog will update this situation as soon as the results from the vote are in. Backers of the measure say the amended version of the bill will include more protections for civil liberties. Opponents of the proposed law, including www.stoppafralagen.nu, say the amendments are purely cosmetic.
