Thanks to several generous photographers on Flickr, you can get a glimpse of traditional Midsommar celebrations in Sweden through this collection of pics from this past weekend. Most of the shots include the flower covered maypole, the "majstång." The reason Swedes first began dancing around the maypole in June instead of May is seasonal: to decorate the majstång with flowers in full bloom....
