Wiretapping Sweden, The Documentary
Wiretapping Sweden, an online documentary, will be released tomorrow. I will be traveling when it premieres, so I wanted to take a moment to encourage you to check it out. Wiretapping Sweden follows the controversy surrounding Sweden's new surveillance law, FRA-lagen, which will allow all Internet and phone traffic crossing Swedish borders to be monitored by the FRA (Sweden's National Defense Radio Establishment) without a warrant. Swedish Parliament approved the law on June 18th. It will go into effect on January 1st.
Interviews featured in the documentary (I am the narrator):
- Camilla Lindberg, The Liberal Party, the only member of The Alliance to vote no
- Johan Norberg, opinion maker, author and much more
- Birgitta Ohlsson, The Liberal Party, folded her vote, but is against the law
- Oscar Swartz, opinion maker, blogger and Internet entrepreneur
- Rick Falkvinge, The Pirate Party
- Maria Ferm, The Young Greens of Sweden
- Magnus Andersson, The Centre Party Youth
- Peter Davin, expert on data leak prevention
